[DISCUSSION] Are the AS members changing their autographs? Calling detective PGZ and PBZ!

Hi guys!

A few weeks ago I nearly made the mistake of buying, what I thought at the time was, an un-authentic signed copy of Catallena from eBay. This was the picture the seller originally posted with the listing:



The main thing I noticed was how Lizzy still did her big whale thing, and she also drew on a cute crown for herself. I thought it was legit so bought it. However, after the sale the seller messaged me saying they'd 'run out' of these ones, and had a different kind available. They sent me this picture:



I noticed straight away that Lizzy's signature was completely different and that totally put me off. I already have a signed AS Blue CD so thought I'd compare it to that before I decided not to buy. This is her signature on AS Blue:



Even BIGGER whale! So I decided not to buy the Catallena CD because I thought it was fake. I told the seller I didn't want it any more and they were kind and gave me a refund. I have since ordered another signed Catallena CD from another seller, who I think is the one I originally bought AS Red + Blue from.

HOWEVER

I only wanted to buy Catallena from eBay because I missed the Soompi special. Those have since been shipped out, and this is their official picture of the autographed CD's:



It's the same as the eBay seller I originally mentioned! After I saw this, I asked people on Twitter if they had a signed copy I could compare it to. Ezi (@cptnamerina) sent me this picture:

Still a small whale! in fact, Ezi said the other members signatures look different rather than Lizzy's.

SO, after all that, have After School changed their signatures? If they haven't, why would Soompi use an image of fake signatures? If they have, how can we be 100% sure? So the eventual point of this thread is below in the TLDR:

TLDR; as Playgirlz and Playboyz, post pictures of your signed CDs/ memorabilia so we can compare signatures! This includes previous releases as well as Catallena. Let's work together to stop people accidentally buying fakes, or accidentally not buying genuine items!

i think you posted the wrong picture  *shud it be AS blue autographed album instead?*

And yes i also wanted to buy it from ebay cuz i missed soompi deal too   but seeing some with lizzy's different autograph confused me alot   thanks in advance to those who can help out here!

I saw a Kahi cd signed for sale too and wondered the same thing. When I googled images of Kahi's signature, it looked real. But it's so hard to tell on eBay these days. Good thread for reference for everyone!

Ah thank you for pointing that out, it got confusing with so many pictures xD Yeah I was so heartbroken about the Soompi offer </3 it was right around my birthday too so I wanted it for a bday gift!

I'll add my AS Red here too for the other signatures, you can check Kahi's too if it's still something you're looking in to? They're not as clear though cos of the darker colours on the cover >.<



so if anyone has autographs that are different to these please post them so we can compile a kind of record of their signature styles

Raina's autograph looks different in the two Catallena album pictures as well

I guess when they sign in a hurry it's not always consistent. Lizzy's whale is pretty consistent though (and adorable, hoi hoi)   

I just saw this pic from a Lizzy Facebook fan account and I believe like others have said Lizzy whale is the most consistent and recognizable.

So I just received my signed Catallena CD from MWave fan meeting from back in March and as you can see Lizzy's signature is different. I'm a little disappointed on how the ink spread, but I guess that proves that it was actually signed and now just reproduce. Also I wish I got Lizzy's whale signature. That is now a new goal for me, getting the Whale Signature.

They haven't changed... You see the problem is that sometimes the managers sign the CD's for them thats why you get the copies with the original style autographs but crappy looking, or a different signature because anothe person signed it for them and doesn't know how the original auto looked like. And The proof that they haven't changed they signatures is that they have the original style autograph on the back of the photocards and when you see Lizzy holding her signature its the same as always it hasn't changed. That's why when I get CD's I make sure Raina's signature has Her R and lizzy has her whale.

Here are some of My Orange Caramel Albums autographs not including my afterschool albums but they haven't changed much.

So if what you're saying is true, it means my signed copy I got from the Mwave meet and greet is not Lizzy's signature. I was kinda hoping she just signed it in a rush. That's disappointing...

Me too.. I have four cds autographed but i think only two are not fake T.T, my AS BLUE autographed by E-young and my Happy Pledis autographed by Jungah.
I think all autograph of my First Love look like real except E-young, Lizzy and maybe Kaeun ?
But it's strange, I have fake and real autographs on the same album ?
