[DISCUSSION] Would you support the members if they were in a relationship?

Self-Explanatory. I know there's many rumors going on and some of you are very jealous with your biases, but what if a member(specifically your fave) suddenly confessed to being dating someone? Would you support them or feel betrayed?
I mean, there were several reactions when JungAh was caught on a 'date' with Onew(and I loved it omg get married) and JuYeon was rumored to be dating Seo Ji Sub. I guess it all depends on the guy, but what would you think?


Personally, I'd like it if Uee(my bias) were to be dating. But then again, I'd be VERY picky with whom she could pick, and if I don't like him at first I'd be all like "YUJIN PLS LOOK AT THE MIRROR YOU DON'T JUST SERVE CAVIAR TO A GUY WHO EATS HAPPY MEAL I MEAN LOOK AT U YOU'RE TOO MUCH WATER FOR HIS LITTLE BUCKET" but overtime the feeling would go away and I'll be happy for her. I'd like it to be JooWon but she said it won't happen so there goes my otp ;_;

I thought only fan girls have a problem with their male idols dating. I don't have a problem with Kahi and Nana or any other After School member dating. If any of the members found someone that treats them very well then I totally support their relationship otherwise, I'll be very disappointed in them. If they do find someone that treats them like dirt, I'm still going to support that member. All I can do is hope that the member find the strength to leave the dirt bag.

I would still support them. Didn't Nana have a boyfriend in the past? As long as he treats them good then I'm all for it. Lol, that sounded like a mom thing to say. The guy who tries to date their members are probably gonna have to answer to Kahi or Jungah.

If they were happy and found a good person then why not?

I would 100% support them    I don't see why not?

(Though, I am going to be a greedy PlayBoy and admit that I hope whoever they date will help AS' popularity hehehehe)

I think its ridiculous to want your bias to be single, its not like you are going to date them, leave that delusion to the crazy basement-dwelling fans lol

I'd love it though couldnt do much about it and wish for the best..(sike). No but honestly I like Yoona n shes dating GiGi and I dont really mind it at all.

They are not puppets, we shouldnt be controlling or judge them for who they are dating it's personal and it's not something that should concern us. I mean they are not different from before because they are dating someone, we became fan of them because of their talent first and we should keep it at that.

I would be happy for them. Maybe a bit worried about crazy fans and if the person is not treating QueenYoung with respect. Otherwise I would be totally okay with it. Maybe a bit sad during the first two minutes if it was E-young, but then I would be happy for her and I would be happy for all the other girls instantly.   

Obviously, it's crazy how Kpop fans get so upset when an idol is dating.... They're humans and deserve to live and be loved.

I personally have no problem with them dating, as many have said before me, as long as they are happy and are treated right, that all that really matters. It's unrealistic to think that your bias would be single forever.

The only thing I would not like about them revealing a relationship is the black lash they might get. For example, Juyeon, I read got some black lash from the rumor she was dating Seo Ji. All because his fans didn't think she was good enough for him. And that was just a rumor, but regardless I would support them no matter what.

It does seem crazy that fans get upset when their idols are dating but it's understandable. When you admire, care and think so much of someone and then come the the realisation that you're never going to be with them because they're dating someone else. It can be very disappointing and upsetting. If all a fan feels when they see their idol is nothing but disappointment, anger or jealousy then it's understandable that the fan would stop supporting their idol. Why be a fan if being a fan is no longer fun? This doesn't mean they are being selfish for not supporting their idols. Being selfish is when you act on those feeling and try to break up the relationship of the idol.

To everyone that's too shy to comment here and that's going to stop supporting After School or your AS bias when they start dating someone else. I don't think you're crazy or necessarily selfish. But if that time does come, I hope you'll remember the amount of time and effort After School members sacrificed to become your idols.

This is actually a very good point. I mean where would all the fanfiction go anyway lol. Anyway, think of it as a crush - don't you feel heartbroken when the person you like finds love with someone who is not you? They're humans and they deserve it, of course, but so are we. It's normal to feel jealous, but its wrong to act on it. Did you guys see the reactions of Juyeons dating rumor with Seo Ji Sub? Koreans were raining the love on her, because apparently she 'isn't on his level' and they thought he was too valuable to date 'an idol of her rank'. Its different with males and females of course, but it happens on both teams. I made this topic out of a question I saw from twitter because I got curious after I saw someone answer "I'm okay with them dating as long as its not Nana".

I have a somewhat-related question...why did Juyeon get love when rumors that she was dating Seo Ji Sub came around? Meanwhile, when Girl's Day Hyeri was dating Tony Ahn it seemed to help her/GsD's popularity?

I can totally understand how they feel. Have you seen that new MIXXO picture of Nana. OMG!!!!!!!!!! Apart from using one word exclamations, I'm having a lot of trouble articulating how hot/beautiful she looks in that picture. LOL, I'll try again tomorrow.

Also, while I have nothing against Onew. I don't want to see Jung Ah and Onew dating together. I think if you look at Jung Ah's face below you can understand why. Jung Ah's expression looks exactly what my face looks like when my friends and family smoke around me and I'm holding my breath(no offence smokers).

I've actually been pretty prompted to post after K-kitsune's comment on 'basement dwelling fans' and also after adam's pointing at the 'too shy fans' (Well shyness isn't y i've not posted anyway) but my home wifi connection has been giving me problems so i got delayed.

Anyway, omg I've become a basement dwelling fan! (metaphorically i suppose since I live high above the basement) I mean I've always had a dream of first getting to meet Raina and then befriending and ultimately dating her but I'm not sure if its delusional though. Its the only positivity in my future that I even bother to envision so I'm not really sure if, due to that, I'd stop supporting her or After School if she really went into a relationship.

Perhaps I never really gave much thought to this question. So when I first encountered it, I was really hesitant to decide whether I'd continue to support Raina or not. But after all these days, I realized that I'd probably still support her if she finds a boyfriend. (I'd prefer if he was also a celebrity and is the good looking kind though) (Oh and I'm sorry Adam. Turns out that I would still support her so I'm not the 'too shy fans' you were looking for)

The reason why I'd still support her (or at least right now I feel that I would still support her) is probably because I am also single (have always been too. Oops am I giving too much info here?) so I kind of understand or hope that the person that I love so much (here being Raina) would also be able to enjoy the highs (and lows I guess) of being in love. I mean, after all, we're all not that young anymore (so I'd also hope that its a lasting relationship too. I saw on some entertainment news a while back that there were quite a few celebrity couples in Korea so its not too difficult either I would think.)

I guess that's about it. At the very least I wouldn't do anything to end their relationship (especially so since we're in different countries) simply because I don't even do much in my support of Raina, so on the other end, I'd not do much even if all my love evolved into hatred (or disappointment. Hatred seems like a wrong word but its the opposite of love I guess.) I'm too lazy for that. = b

@Mbi, even if Raina isn't currently one of my bias I think the world of her and if you've read my posts currently a lot of my dreams for After School rest on her shoulders. I'm glad you love Raina so much and I think it's awesome that you want to meet, befriend and ultimately date her. Also if you're the one who said on ASDaze ask.fm that your life plan was to be an English teacher working in Korea and eventually meet and married Raina then the extra brownie points go to you otherwise LOL you have some serious competition. I'm not sure if anyone has thought about this but there's multiple types of love. There's the love where you see how awesome someone is and you want to be with them only because of how awesome they are. This is the type of love I see from some creepy basement dwelling fans. Then there's the type of love where you appreciate someone for who they are or what they've done for you and you want to be with them because you care about them. This type of love for someone exists regardless of whether you're with them or not e.g. Raina goes out with you then later dumps you because she finds out you're not her type but you can still appreciate and want to care for her. If the latter love is the love you have for Raina then I totally support your endeavour to be with Raina. Also I don't think your idea of meeting and eventually dating Raina is delusional.

She didn't get love tho??? maybe she got support from the fandom, but she was mostly getting love for 'dating' a famous actor who is also 10 years older than her. I don't know if it boosted hers and AS's popularity in a good way, but people definitely know about it.


Also, regarding Onew: they are said to be dating for over a year, so I'm sure she got used to his habits. Her expression doesn't look so bad to me but idk.

If I didn't think Jung Ah's lungs are crying out for fresh air I would say she looked pretty cute. Although Onew looks like he's vaping which is a lot more healthier than smoking actual cigarettes I personally don't like the idea of smoke of any form getting into my lungs. Also I've lived around smokers for most of my life and I've never gotten use to cigarette smoke. I find it very rude/inconsiderate that people would subject other people to carcinogens by smoking especially around me when they know how I feel about cigarettes. Also Jung Ah has a very passive nature so even if she did want to say something I don't think she will. I'm just as open in real life as I am online and even I feel really awkward about telling my closest family members to stop smoking around me.

I'm wondering why too, this forum has been forcing me to use "don't like" instead of "h a t e" but writing "hating" is fine. It's like the admins have set this forum like this to troll us. I think "h8" works fine to express the severity of my dislikes.

Back to the topic now, I hope Jung Ah doesn't ever smoke and if she does I'm still going to love her. I just prefer not to be around her when she smokes(not that I think I'll get the chance). If Jung Ah is as cigarette smoke conscious as me and they are dating. I hope Onew gives up smoking.

I love it when "fans" (and I use quotes for a reason lol) lash out at idols for being in a relationship with somebody, I think it is very immature and silly. You expect an idol to sit around and be alone and not have any intimate relationship with anyone because YOU dont like it? I dont see girl idols gaining too much attention from it but I do see it from alot of boy idols gaining backlash for it and I think it is just so selfish of the "fans" to do that.

I know for a fact that Jung Ah and Onew are dating though. They make such a cute couple too.
