[INFO] Playgirlz Voter - Automated After School Voting and Support System

Ok kool, thanks for the update. I thought there was something wrong with my Voter App, but everything is running smoothly.

Should I use Twuffer for the #DressToShine support event or will the voter have a "magical" update soon?

@SwePlaygirl, I'll be on my vacation on the 17th so if between now and the 16th you don't see a "magical update" then use Twuffer...or tweet manually(see explanations below for reason). I think I can get an update done within the next 4 days. Right now I've got a lot of things I've very busy with so I'm not sure if I'll get it done on time.

There is a very important difference between this Playgirlz Voter feature  and Twuffer that fans need to be aware of. Twuffer allows you to schedule tweets and it'll tweet them according to the schedule without any further involvement. This new Playgirlz Voter feature requires you to leave the Playgirlz Voter on until it has done all the tweets because, your Playgirlz Voter will be doing the tweeting. The advantage of using this Playgirlz Voter feature over Twuffer is that if Twuffer is used then Twitter will think all those tweets(from different fans using Twuffer) are all from one user(i.e. Twuffer...well in terms of IP address at least). If Twitter tracks a user's IP(guessing it does considering it's a widely use technique by internet sites/apps to identified unique users) as part of their algorithm to determine whether a topic is popular or not(and trend it) then using Twuffer to try to get a topic trending is useless. From my tests I'm very sure(my testing wasn't completed) IP tracking plays a role in Twitter's algorithm to determine whether a topic is popular or not. Since the Playgirlz Voter tweets using your internet connection, Twitter will see the IP address of the Playgirlz Voter user when it tweets and hence doesn't have the problem Twuffer has. Twuffer is fine for spreading scheduled messages but I don't think it's effective for trending. For trying to get a topic to trend, I think it's better to manually do the tweeting or use the Playgirlz Voter if you can't be there on time to do the tweeting.

To Playgirlz Voter users,

I need to do some maintenance work on the Playgirlz Voter's database. For the next 6 hours(maybe less than that) you might find that one or more Playgirlz Voter tasks will be deactivated. Just leave you Playgirlz Voter running as normal and when the tasks are activated again your Playgirlz Voters will perform them according to their schedule. Current time is 11:57 am KST.

@PlayboyzAdam, Hey Adam, I been running the Voter app as much as possible, but these past couple of days I notice that I have sent any tweets out through the app. It pretty much looks like this now


I always run it when I'm sleeping or not using my computer to watch stuff. I'm not sure if you're still doing maintenance or not. Maybe you're already aware of it and working on it, but I just wanted to let you know.

@Gokoulssj, Thanks for letting me know. I've finished doing maintenance. I've deactived the tweeting because Raina's promotion is over. Since Raina's promotion is over, I'm also planning to turn off the task to view the MV so fans can leave it running over night when they are asleep and not worry about the Playgirlz Voter using up so much of their internet quota, however I want to leave it on to try and increase the views on the MV...hmmm, so conflicted right now...I guess I'll turn off the task to view the MV to encourage fans to leave the Playgirlz Voter running when they sleep so that they don't miss out on any of the other tasks that's more important right now.

The new Playgirlz Voter update I've just released provides support for ASDaze's Dress to Shine Concert support Twuffer party event.

This new update causes the twitter information you've saved in your Playgirlz Voter to be delete which means you have to authorize the Playgirlz Voter to use your twitter account again. Also if you find that your Playgirlz Voter isn't working properly, it could be because it attempted to perform an update that I messed up on. If that's the case delete the PlaygirlzVoter.jar, download https://www.dropbox.com/s/cm3tnxq47rnphgg/PlaygirlzVoter_beta_1.9.06_update.jar?dl=0 and place it where the deleted PlaygirlzVoter.jar file was and rename it to PlaygirlzVoter.jar

You'll find the links to access these new feature by opening the Playgirlz Voter(don't push the start button, just open it by double clicking the PlaygirlzVoter.jar file). After opening the Playgirlz Voter you'll see a line in the activity log display that says something like "http://localhost:8000/PlaygirlzVoter". Go to that address(go to the one that's displayed on your Playgirlz Voter not the link I've written down because your address might be different from my one). Click on the Twitter link and a page will open up containing a "Schedule Tweet" link and a "View Saved Tweets" link.

The "Schedule Tweet" link takes you to a page to schedule tweets for an event.



The "View Saved Tweets" link allows you to view the tweets you have saved for events.

I had to run my voter to be able to tweet anything. But I would like some n00b info. This is like a different version to twuffer right? Will we add all the tweets we want to send manually? Will we have to input the hashtags or does to voter do that for us?
Edit: So I sheduled a few tweets but the voter won't do them... Is it because they should have been scheduled before I ran the voter? Because like I said the option did not appear then. #Confused #DressToShineWillSlayHumanity

Great, thanks for clarifying. Will do my best to schedule as many tweets as I can and spread the word. Will also try and encourage more fans to vote on EYK, last time I checked OC where in 1st place for song of the year (this counts out app voter users) so I have big hopes for them. I am also not sure if you can vote more than once... They have not tried to stop me with any messages but I don't know. Anyways I tink you are better at figuring those things out compared to me, so I will leave that task with you once you are back from resting. If i can remember it in my head (I failed at this today) then I will be able to vote with an extra IP adress, hopefully two with a bit of luck.

Adam we have a problem... my voter does not tweet! I tried everyhing and it will not work. Did my best to tweet manually today, maybe I got about 50+ of them by hand but it would have been a lot better if the voter had actually given me the 100+ extra that I scheduled. Did something happen?

@SwePlaygirl, my Playgirlz Voter appears to be working fine, it tweeted the messages I've scheduled. Did you remember to authorized the Playgirlz Voter to use your Twitter account again after the last update? Did you noticed any error messages coming from the Playgirlz Voter's activity logs? Search through your log files and see what the Playgirlz Voter was doing yesterday between 17:55 pm to 18:05 pm 21/11/2014 KST. At 18:00 pm KST yesterday your Playgirlz Voter should have started tweeting your scheduled messages. Can you still view your scheduled tweets from the "View Saved Tweets" page?

I did get a few strange things in the log files, but I could stilll view all the tweets and the authorization had alreday been done. Not sure what you did but whatever it was it worked! Now I just have a question. The tweets looks like this and that means that the "thank you Maruko" tag is not working right?

Edit: Now it is tweeting the same tweets over and over again and the first 5 tweets is still what it is tweeting and they don't go away and the voter does not go lower on the list...

@SwePlaygirl, I've released a new update (beta 1.9.23) that should solve those problems....I hope. I've created a new event called "TEST" that can be used for scheduling tweets. To test if the update works, do the following. If you have already scheduled tweets for TEST before beta 1.9.23 was release delete those tweets. Create a message that contains non English characters and schedule it for TEST. The Playgirlz Voter should tweet that message straight away. Then check your Twitter account to see if the message was sent properly. If the message is sent properly then the update works. Also you should be able to view your message in the "Vew Saved Tweets" page properly. If you still have messages scheduled for the "Dress to Shine Concert Support" event that you want sent you need to copied and then schedule them(modified them so that they have "#ありがとうMaruko" first) for the TEST event. After that delete all the tweets from the "Dress to Shine Concert Support". If you have scheduled tweets for any other events before "beta 1.9.23" you need to delete them.

I tried to do my homework quickly once I woke up but I did not have the time to test the voter before school and they have blocked Java. I just got home an hour ago so Dress to Shine is long over At least I pasted and manually tweeted everything I had planed during my gap hour. Too bad it looks like we failed. I must have done 300+ tweets and even more when counting retweets. Sadly it looks like we failed bacause I did not see it trending once.

Edit: Rage quit! We were doing so well on the Eat Your Kimchi, then the f(x) fans answered to Amber and now they are leading by like 70% and beating OC out of every category. Also we afre not getting anywhere on the MAMA awards. I should just sleap like every other fan, minus the daily voter running. *Sighs for eternity*

@SwePlaygirl, even if all other fans give up or don't give a damn, we still need to be there for After School. Until the other fans finally decided to wake all we can do is try our best to wake them up. I'll try and give this fandom another wake up call before this months ends, right now I'm too busy to do it

@SwePlaygirl, I've set the the Playgirlz Voter to vote 500000 times per day on eykc awards....its impossible for the Playgirlz Voter to reach 500000 so basically it's unlimited. I'll leave it at 500000 until I can confirm the voting limit. Hopefully this will allow us to help Orange Caramel win so they can a bit more exposure from the eykc guys.

Guys, if you have your Playgirlz Voters running, restart your Playgirlz Voters for the settings to take immediate effect, otherwise your Playgirlz Voter will wait up to an hour before it receives the update.
